A photo from my huge archives. The Scarlet Elf Cup (Sarcoscypha austriaca Boud. (Beck ex Sacc.)) is a very common early spring ascomycota, which was posted here on TN countless times, but probably you didn't get bored of it yet.
Photo: taken in the Curraheen riverside forest near Cork City, in manual exposure mode using diffuse flash (it was one of my first pics where I used diffusor).

Hi Laszlo,yes..isn't the first time that i seen these elf cups in you gallery,not easy to forget an unique species like that..ehehe...the pic is aboslutely perfect,great memory from your archive,the red is very bright and the sharpness is the best too,very well done! Spectacular image of this very brightly colored fungi. Tac sharp focus and presented in an attractive composition. The exposure is perfect, I feel as though I could reach out and touch it through my computer screen. Well done!!
No doubt beautiful picture. I saw this species before also in your gallery. Very eye catching composition and light with very good sharpness. Well details too.
