(Sorry I made mistake on ID) This is apparently

Clouded Yellow - Colias croceus

This is a strong migrant that most years reaches as far as northern France and southern England, sometimes much further north into Scotland and Ireland.Number
fluctuate with each year, some years being remembered as "Clouded Yellow Years".
They are very regular further south and can be found in most habitats and most altitudes although they decrease in numbers with increasing altitude. They fly very fast and settle only briefly for nectar when they are usually too alert to approach for photography.
Chartreuse egg laid singly on leaves of various legumes, especially clovers (Trifolium).
Flight:Several broods; March-December, weather permitting.
Caterpillar hosts: Plants in the pea family (Fabaceae) including alfalfa (Medicago sativa), white clover (Trifolium repens), and pea (Pisum sativum).
Adult food: Flower nectar of many plants.
Habitat- Almost any open country; especially numerous in clover meadows, parks, and pastures; absent from dense forests and extreme deserts.
Range- North Africa and southern Europe and eastwards through Turkey into the Middle East.It occurs throughout much of Europe as a summer migrant, but very few individuals reach Scandinavia.
Because it feeds on clover, alfalfa, vetches, and many other pervasive legumes, it has spread easily.

hi Tanja,
jolie composition tout en couleurs, c'est fra褼 et bien r嶧lis. Bonne nettet qui permet de voir tous les d彋ails du papillon, bravo.

This is a very nice photograph, and you have correctly identified it as a Colias species. However, the Clouded Sulphur (or Sulfur as it is spelled in the USA) is a species of the Americas. I will leave it to you to do a little more research - I warn you, though - these butterflies are not easy ;)
Regards, Nigel.

zdravo Tanje, lepa slika, Dobra ostrina na leptiru, ostalo je zablurno, i taman dobro da motiv istupa. Za moj ukus je okvir malo prejak.

Hi Tanja

Another lovely macro shot from you!
I really like the way you managed to emphaise the beautiful yellow colors of this butterfly here.
The contrast between the subject and everything else is good and the details on its head and eyes especially are terrific.
Very well done!

Bravo and TFS

Hi Tanja, wonderful butterfly with splendid details and great colors, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hi Tanja
This is a beautiful image of this Clouded Yellow as he sits on a succulent. The colours all seem to work nicely together. Both the yellow on the butterfly and the blue-green plant are such a nice compliment together. I like the framing, it doesn't take away from your butterfly. This is really well done.
TFS Janice
PS...I'm really busy at work, no days off until June :(
